In this 21st century assignment, your group will write a screenplay, draw up a storyboard, and film a movie about a planet or moon. Your group will be assigned a planet, and you will market this planet as the best one to live on.
Your goal is to entice people watching the commercial to come live on your planet or moon!
Questions that should be answered in your commercial include:
How big is it? Is there enough room for everyone?
What is the weather like? Is there a way to be active in that environment?
Are there any special properties associated with that planet that make it appealing?
What is gravity like?
What kind of technology does that planet support?
(Assume that humans DO NOT need the essentials for life, such as water or oxygen.)
You are to make sure that environmental conditions and chemical makeup of the planet are factual. Outside of that, be CREATIVE; you can make up anything! (Example: The Sulfur dioxide in our atmosphere will give you stronger muscles.)
At the end of the project, students vote on which planet to live on! (you can’t vote for your own)
